SASSETA Training: National Key Point
Duration: 48 days full-time
Aim of Course:
Introduction:
The purpose of this learning programme is to provide Security Officers with the full understanding of the protection of NKP, it also includes the use of two firearms in a business environment.
After completion of the National Key Point Basic training the security officers will have a working understanding of the legal framework within which national key points are being secured.
They will be able to make a distinction between general security and securing a National Key Point.
In compliance with regulatory guidelines set forth by all SETAs (Sector Education and Training Authorities) and PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority), all students must undertake their summative assessments, which are closed book exams, at the designated training centre as prescribed.
